Hey there! My name's Georgia, and I'm a fashion researcher with a difference. I wasn't born into the world of fashion; in fact, I kind of stumbled in by accident. In another life I was an archaeologist and museum professional, but these days you can find me in Wellington, New Zealand, talking about fashion, subculture, gender and shoes. My specialism is in Doc Martens and the special relationship that women have with them, but I also have expertise in pop culture, material culture, and the social life of clothing.
This website is the home to my blog where I talk about all sorts of things: fashion, theory, celebrities, music, and a fair bit about the process of doing a PhD. I love talking about this stuff, so if you have any questions, want some information about my research, or just want to have a chat, then please get in touch.
I can't wait to hear from you!
